Light-patterned fluorescent gold nanoclusters in polycarbonate films

Fluorescent metal nanoclusters embedded in rigid matrices are attractive for many applications, such as use light-emitting diodes and optical data storage. Given the advantages of polycarbonate films, like high transparency excellent toughness, development these films could further enhance various applications. Herein, we fabricated fluorescent gold a film using photochemical process. The polymer is doped with chloride photoinitiator then irradiated by diode (365 nm), leading to photoreduction ions formation bright quantum yield 15%. as-formed display good photostability retain their emission spectral shape over an extended period time. These highly structures have potential applications fabrication authenticity markings optoelectronic devices.
